Astronomy viewpoints on the Island of La Palma

The sky of La Palma has an excellent quality due to its transparency and darkness. La Palma is well known for its scientific use thanks to the Observatory of El Roque de Los Muchachos as well as for being the first Starlight Reserve in the World. However, anyone can enjoy the night sky in La Palma even in towns and cities by just looking up.

To facilitate the observation of the night sky there is a network of astronomical viewpoints throughout the island. Each one has interpretive panels and signs to help users to locate the North Star and major constellations. These viewpoints are true windows to the Universe .

Our astronomical tours in AstroLaPalma.com take place in one of these lookouts (see map). Map with astronomical Lookouts on Island La Palma - AstroLaPalma.com . Panels and Arrow pointing the North star on astronomical Lookouts on Island La Palma La Palma - AstroLaPalma.com.
